Diagram & Quote Builder is a Windows app that turns a photo, map or blank page into a marked-up site diagram, then into a finished quote for your client. It is made and supported by an independent developer based in New Zealand ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why it uses it, and the choices you have.
Everything you create or open in the app is saved on your own computer and is not sent to us:
Quotes are produced as spreadsheets and PDFs by software already installed on your own computer. Those files are created and kept on your computer, and you are fully responsible for their content, storage and anything you send to others.
When the app opens, it sends your licence key to our licensing provider to confirm your subscription is active. The provider replies with the status of that licence. If you're offline, the app keeps working for up to 7 days using the last successful check.
To stop a licence or free trial being copied between computers, the app saves its licence details and trial start date on your computer, protected with a code made from your computer's Windows ID. That code is used only on your computer and is never sent to us or anyone else.
If you use Share online, the app uploads the diagram image and the details you type in (title, your name, the recipient's name and any note) to our sharing service at share.diagramquotebuilder.com, which runs on Cloudflare. You get a link to send to your client.
Nothing is uploaded unless you use this feature.
The app does not supply maps or photo-editing services. When you press the Maps or Photo Editor button, the app shows a pop-up where you can enter a web address, and it then opens that website for you. Which web address is entered, there or anywhere else in the app, is entirely at your discretion. Your computer connects to that website directly, so it can see what you look at and your internet address, the same as when you visit it in a browser. We don't receive or store any of it.
You are responsible for the websites you choose to use, including any account you sign in to, their terms of use, and any copyright or attribution rules for maps or images you include in your diagrams and quotes.
Licences are bought through our online payment provider, which handles payment under its own privacy policy. It gives us your name, email address and licence details so we can support your licence and contact you about it. We don't receive or store your card details.
Connections to our licensing provider and to the sharing service are encrypted (HTTPS). Shared diagrams are stored with random, hard-to-guess links and removed automatically when they expire.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us at the address below and we'll respond within 20 working days. You can delete any shared diagram yourself at any time from inside the app.
Diagram & Quote Builder is a professional business application intended solely for use by adults. It is not intended for persons under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a person under 16 uses the app, responsibility for that use rests with the parent, guardian or adult who provided access. If you believe we hold personal information relating to a person under 16, please contact us and it will be promptly deleted.
If we change how the app uses information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
